Dear Meriel,

At the advice of your last letter, I did appoint a new assistant headmistress. While it'll never be the same as it was with Sara, Heidi seems like a sweet woman, easy to get along with, and she is already fitting in quite well with the students. Much better than me, I think, as you know your old brother isn't exactly the most social person ever.

Anyways, things are slowly quieting down. Did you know... Chris is gone now? Everyone is leaving now. But in life, that always happens, doesn't it? Guess there's nothing I can do about it.

Hey. Remember Sauda Elaur, our friend from elementary school, then middle school, high school? She's visiting Kironin right now. As you'd expect, she's stirring things up quite a bit. I found it all very interesting, although I haven't had much of a chance to speak with her since she accidentally discovered that Sara is my girlfriend. Which... isn't true. Sara's a dear friend and all, but you know me. I can't settle down right now and get tied down with love. If a crisis happened, I wouldn't be able to keep my head.

So. That's all I have to say this time, sister. Write back soon, and I'll make sure Til sticks in a word or two if I can get him to calm down enough.

Dear Meriel,

You told me to write you letters, so I'm writing them now. I must admit it's been a while since your last one, so I've been getting a bit worried. How are things back home? Is our brother giving you any trouble? If he is, send him over here. He's not too old to join the students here at Kironin Central.. Threaten him with that if he throws a tantrum or something, will you? Just because he's our kid brother doesn't mean he gets to be spoiled.

Life here hasn't been too bad. We have quite a crowd here, and I'm hoping I'm doing an all right job. Tara Shinoko, the old Headmistress, left quite a lot for me to step up to. Sometimes I don't know if I can do it, but then I remember you and Til, so I just grit my teeth and bear with it. Besides, most of the staff is rather nice and I like working with them. No real problems have yet to arise, but Yuuki has had to switch his job from Firearms Sensei to Caretaker. I'm glad he's going to be Caretaker though, because I know I can trust him. He knows when to be firm and when to take things easily, unlike me. And then there's Akahana (doctor) and Lei (Duelling Sensei), who have had to take a long leave of absence for family or personal-related reasons. It's all right, but Amefuri's taking the brunt of the work at the hospital, and I think I'll need to hire a helper for him. It seems to be taking effect on his ability to focus, and considering he injured Teresia, another student, pretty badly in their practice duel, it's pretty dangerous. Oh yeah, I did tell you, right? Since Lei is absent at the moment, I'm back to teaching again! Nothing eventful really happened, although it is interesting seeing everyone's different duelling styles.

Recently, some exchange students have come to us from Hogwarts. It has been a bit difficult for them to adjust, but we're getting along. I heard that Sara gave birth to a baby boy, but I have yet to see him yet. Hopefully she will bring the child with her to the Christmas Dinner. I heard he's quite cute and look forward to seeing him. I'm not sure how Sara gets along with Severus since last time I met him, he seemed quite ill-tempered. However, I'm sure I just didn't get a good chance to see his good points, because the two of them are deeply in love. I wish them the best of luck.

And that reminds me. How is your own lovelife going? Mine's nonexistent, but I don't care too much. You know I prefer the lone wolf path. If I meet the right woman however, I'm going to make sure she knows it. But until then.. it's hit the books and breakdancing and flips! Yes, I still breakdance and practice my gymnastics in case you didn't know. I've improved a lot and have even started combining some of my moves.

Anyhow, I'm sure you're tired of hearing your brother's voice. I'll give you some chance to answer this letter, alright? Stay safe, come bring Til sometime to visit, and don't stress too much over life!
